Compact and lightweight walkie-talkie set: These children’s walkie-talkies provide a reliable communication solution for both indoor and outdoor use. Whether on discovery tours in the garden, expeditions in the forest or for coordination during a treasure hunt – they ensure the exchange of information over distance, even without line of sight. Thanks to their robust design, they easily withstand the demands of outdoor activities such as camping or hiking. The radios operate on the licence‑free 446 MHz frequency (PMR446) and enable easy operation as well as a stable connection via three available channels. The integration of 3 channels makes it easy to switch to a free frequency in case of interference from other radio users. This ensures privacy and clear voice transmission during use.
Range and signal quality: The maximum range is up to 3 kilometres under optimal conditions. This distance is primarily achieved in open areas without major obstacles. In wooded areas or within residential neighbourhoods, the range is reduced due to physical barriers such as buildings or dense vegetation, but communication between neighbouring properties or within buildings remains fully functional.
Functionality and handling: Communication is activated by pressing a side-mounted button (Push-to-Talk – PTT). As long as the button is pressed, the device transmits; when it is released, it automatically switches to receive mode. This classic radio logic prevents unnecessary battery consumption and ensures structured conversations. The housing of the walkie-talkies is tailored to the ergonomics of smaller hands. The material is robustly chosen to withstand the demands of outdoor activities. A belt clip on the back allows secure attachment to clothing so that hands remain free while moving.
