Glows as if by magic: A glow stick works without a flame or batteries. The magical, mysterious glow of glow sticks is based solely on so-called chemiluminescence. Bending the plastic shell mixes two liquids that were initially separated. As a result, a chemical reaction occurs that releases energy in the form of light. This provides a bright and colorful light source even in pouring rain or far from civilization. 

From parties to sky lanterns: At techno parties or when light painting, the chemical reaction produces a colorful, almost mystical light. Glow sticks also give bachelor parties or garden parties a very special atmosphere.
