Simple rules, with variations: In Boule, each player or team receives two balls of one colour and, starting from a marked spot, tries to roll the balls as close as possible to the previously thrown “jack”, the target ball. The player whose ball ends up closest to the jack wins the match. The game can be varied with different rule sets. Boule is a relaxed game to play outdoors on a flat surface.
