Glows as if by magic: A glow stick works without any flame or batteries. The magical, mysterious glow of glow sticks is based purely on what is known as chemiluminescence. Bending the plastic tube mixes two liquids that were initially kept separate. This triggers a chemical reaction that releases energy in the form of light. Even in pouring rain or far away from civilisation, you have a bright and colourful light source at your disposal. 

From party to sky lanterns: Especially at techno parties or when light painting, the chemical reaction creates a colourful, almost mystical light. Glow sticks also add a very special atmosphere to stag or hen parties and garden events.
