XL Mikado game with 41 wooden sticks
Trains fine motor skills and patience
Colour-coded
Fun for all generations
Minimum number of players 1
Also suitable for multiple players
The classic game: The timeless XL Mikado dexterity game is suitable for the whole family. Without much material, a complicated set of rules or a need for space, you can simply interact and communicate together for a self-determined duration of play. Even the children in the Mikado round experience, playfully and almost incidentally, the success of an ever-improving hand-eye coordination.
Mikado game material and quantity: There are 41 sticks made of FSC-certified wood with a length of 50 cm. The applied coloured markings indicate different point values. The total value of all XL Mikado sticks equals 170 points. The total is divided into:
1 x Mikado stick: blue (or black) ringed = 20 points
5 x Mandarin stick: blue - red - blue = 10 points each
5 x Bonzen stick: red - blue - red - blue - red = 5 points each
15 x Samurai stick: red - yellow (or green) - blue = 3 points each
15 x Kuli stick: blue - red = 2 points each.
How it works: Player 1 bunches the XL Mikado sticks upright in one hand over the playing surface and then simply lets them fall apart by opening the hand. Just as they have fallen, criss-cross, they must be removed one by one. Make sure that when picking up the selected stick, no other stick moves. If this happens, the turn passes to the next player. Directly touching the stick, propping it up by pressing on one tip, or flicking it up with a stick already won are permitted variants. Once all Mikado sticks have been picked up, the game ends. The winner is the one who can score the most points according to the markings on the sticks.
